This policy explains what information translucidconsulting.com (the "site") collects, why, and what you can do about it. The site is run by Translucid LLC ("Translucid Consulting", "I", "me"), based in Brea, California. What I collect
Information you send me
- Contact form: your name, work email, company, website, brand type, monthly ad-spend range, biggest blocker, and any message you write.
- Newsletter request: your email address.
- Booking a call: scheduling happens on Calendly, which collects the details you enter there under its own privacy policy.
Information collected automatically
- Spam protection: when you use a form, your IP address is used to rate-limit submissions. I store only a keyed hash of it, for about ten minutes. Forms may also run a Cloudflare Turnstile check, which processes browser and device signals to tell people from bots.
- Hosting logs: the site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard request logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and operations.
- Analytics, only if you accept cookies: Google Tag Manager loads Google Analytics, the LinkedIn Insight Tag, and Hotjar (Contentsquare). These set cookies and record how you use the site, such as pages viewed, clicks, and approximate location. If you decline or ignore the cookie notice, none of these load.
How I use it
- To reply to your inquiry and prepare for a strategy call.
- To send the newsletter you asked for.
- To keep the forms free of spam and abuse.
- With your consent, to understand how the site is used and measure my own advertising (for example, LinkedIn campaign reporting).
I don't sell your personal information, and I don't share it for anyone else's marketing. Form submissions are not added to a mailing list unless you ask to join one.
Who processes it
I use a small set of service providers to run the site and handle your messages:
- Vercel (hosting)
- Google Workspace (email delivery and inbox)
- Cloudflare (Turnstile bot protection)
- Calendly (call scheduling)
- Google Analytics, LinkedIn, and Hotjar/Contentsquare (analytics, only with your consent)
These providers may process data in the United States and other countries. I may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Cookies and your choices
The site itself needs no cookies to work. Analytics cookies are set only after you click Accept. You can change your choice at any time with (also in the footer). Declining after accepting stops the tags from loading again; cookies already set stay in your browser until they expire or you clear them.
How long I keep it
Inquiries and newsletter requests stay in my email for as long as they are useful for our conversation or working relationship. Ask me and I'll delete them. Rate-limit data expires after about ten minutes.
Your rights
You can ask me what personal information I hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Email info@translucidconsulting.com and I'll respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example California or the EU/UK), you may have additional rights under local law, and I'll honor them.
Children
This site is for businesses and isn't directed at children under 16. I don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, I'll update the date at the top of this page.
