How I Scaled Brownstone Research's SpaceX IPO Offer Past $2M in Ad Spend
Facebook bid-cap scaling plus Revcontent native advertorials for a pre-IPO tech offer (Near Future Report), run in 2026.
- Ad spend, Facebook + native
- $2.08M+
- Facebook spend in 26 days
- $606K
- CPA vs. $400 allowable
- $378.58

The challenge
Brownstone Research launched a SpaceX IPO offer and wanted as many buyers as possible at its allowable cost per acquisition of $400. On Facebook, financial-services accounts can't use interest targeting, and ads get re-reviewed as spend climbs, so a borderline creative tends to get flagged right when it starts working. The offer also needed traffic beyond Meta so one platform couldn't cap growth.
My approach
I ran a two-channel system: a bid-capped Facebook structure that only lets proven creative spend, and Revcontent native campaigns driving traffic through advertorial pages I built.
01
Bid-cap CBO as a creative lie detector
I set the bid cap at the allowable CPA and gave the campaign far more budget than it could spend, so Facebook decided which creative could win auctions at that price.
- ABO test campaigns with single-variable ad sets: three ads, one element changed
- Killed tests at 3× goal CPA spent with no sale, or when they could not spend
- Promoted winners through a duplicate-at-2× ladder into the CBO
- CBO carried a $400K/day budget, with the $400 bid cap governing actual spend
- Small bid nudges, not budget changes, to buy more volume from proven creative
02
Copy as targeting, compliance built in
With every ad set running broad under the financial-services flag, the creative itself had to tell Facebook who the buyer was.
- Long, keyword-dense primary text (around 500 words, advertorial length)
- Audience keywords in the first three seconds of every video
- Hooks built on borrowed authority, ease of entry, and outsized upside
- No hard return claims; disclaimers in the same primary text as any claim
03
Native scale on Revcontent
I diversified spend onto Revcontent with advertorial pages and tracking on the call-to-action button to measure and improve each page.
- Built advertorial pages and tracked call-to-action clicks to read page click-through
- 39 campaigns across mobile and desktop placements
- CPC bids of $0.25–$0.40 on the top campaigns
- $736,275 in native spend and 2.26M clicks
The results
Across Facebook and Revcontent, the offer absorbed more than $2.08M in ad spend. In its biggest Facebook month it spent $606K in 26 days, about $23K a day, while buying 1,601 customers at $378.58 each: 5% under the $400 allowable. The goal was maximum volume at target CPA, not front-end ROAS.
